The medal system is still having bugs worked out of it, and is not yet available to the average flash author. Currently there are only three games that use it: Portal Defenders, Alkie Kong 2, and Thing-Thing Arena 3.
The points don't do anything other than show off your e-penis, but that might change as the medal system is further developed.
